About the Role

This is a full-time remote role for a Managing Director within the Debt Advisory Group at Avalon Growth Capital.  A significant portion of Avalon’s business model involves advising project developers which encompasses sourcing project-level debt as part of the overall project financing mandate.  The Managing Director, Debt Advisory Group will have a mandate to develop an independent business line that identifies and executes on debt advisory opportunities outside of the Firm’s traditional project finance universe, with a focus on corporate and sponsor-backed companies.

Responsibilities

• Lead Debt Capital Raise: Identify, lead, and execute on debt advisory engagements by managing the entire debt capital raise cycle, from developing lender materials to closing deals.

• Business Development: Maintain active business development activities to identify debt advisory opportunities

• Deal Management: Define a strategy for fundraising, including targeting the right debt capital providers and identifying optimal deal structures.

• Develop Lender Materials: Create compelling, comprehensive investor materials  (teaser, pitch deck, use of proceeds, financials, etc).

• Lender Outreach & Negotiation: Target and engage qualified lenders and debt capital providers. Present investment opportunities and negotiate deal terms.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Commercial Lending, Private Credit or related sectors

• Proven track record of leading successful debt capital transactions, ideally in the range of $10 Million to $100+ Million in debt capital commitments

• Active SEC/FINRA licenses in good standing.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

• Self-starter who can independently manage the capital raise process and collaborate closely with Company leadership

Compensation

Success fee-based compensation structure, with the potential for equity participation in Avalon Growth Capital.
